Brookfield Lacrosse Families,

Effectively immediately, Brookfield Lacrosse Association (BLA) is suspending all practices through at least April 5th.  This decision was based in large part on the declaration by Governor Evers of a Public Health Emergency as well as the Elmbrook School District’s decision to move to virtual learning starting Monday, March 16th. We believe it is in the best interest of our players and families to act in step with the school district.

Our main concern MUST be health and well-being of our families and the community at large. Therefore, BLA strongly advises against any team gatherings.

BLA will continue to monitor developments and will revisit the suspension of its activities on or before March 30, 2020. We will provide an update on or before that date. As part of this review, we are closely following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Wisconsin Lacrosse Federation (WLF) and Milwaukee Area Youth Lacrosse Association (MAYLA) concerning our decisions regarding the participation for our athletes.

Please feel free to contact me directly with any questions.

Thank you,
